We still welcome abstracts (max. 600 words) for the conference poster session.

Kick off Mingle | Tuesday, September 9, 2025
On Tuesday the 9th of September from 18:00, we welcome all attendees to join a pre-conference mingle at Quality Hotel 11. If the weather allows, a small snack and drinks will be served at the rooftop bar.
Pick up your ticket and voucher in the reception at Quality Hotel 11 any time on Tuesday the 9th.

Get inspired by the surroundings of the old Eriksberg shipyard in Gothenburg. The conference is taking place at Quality Hotel 11 & Eriksbergshallen.
Tickets
We encourage you to book in time as tickets to the conference are limited.
The ticket price includes a full delegate pass for all conference sessions and side events:
- 30 + antifouling expert speakers
- Pre-conference networking mingle incl. drink & small snack on Tuesday 9th of Sept.
- 2 networking breaks daily with snack buffet, coffee & tea
- Lunch in Eriksbergshallen
- West coast dinner and evening event on September 10th
- Additional study visit to RISE & SSPA facilities on September 9th (separate registration via RISE is mandatory and spaces are limited. )
Tickets are purchased upon registration and can be transferred to another person in the event the registered delegate is unable to attend. Tickets are non-refundable.
Hotel and travel costs are not included in the conference ticket.

Tutorial: introduction to antifouling coatings | Tuesday, September 9, 2025
Join Dr. Alistair Finnie for a comprehensive 3-hour tutorial between 13:00-17:00 on Antifouling Technology, where you'll explore the biofouling process and its impact on ship performance, GHG emissions, and operational costs. The session will cover both biocidal and non-biocidal coatings, detailing their components and the role of binders. You'll learn about the leach layer's importance, alternative technologies like silicone systems, and testing methods for antifouling efficacy.
The tutorial will address challenges in new building projects, performance measurement techniques (including ISO 19030), and hull cleaning strategies. Throughout, environmental considerations and regulations will be emphasized, highlighting the industry's move towards sustainable solutions.
